About this book
It opens with a boy who has more money than he knows what to do with and a widow determined to make him respectable. Huck Finn would rather not be. He fakes his own murder with a pig's blood and a hank of his own hair, slips away from a father who has locked him in a cabin, and lights out for Jackson's Island — "large and dark and solid, like a steamboat with no lights." There he stumbles on Jim, an enslaved man running from being sold south, who leaps up terrified he's seeing a ghost. What follows is a friendship neither of them planned, carried south on a raft.

You may not know about me if you have not read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.
That book was written by Mr. Mark Twain.
He told the truth, mostly.
Some parts were not completely true, but most of it was honest.
That is normal.
Everyone lies sometimes.
Maybe Aunt Polly never lied.
